More logging in...

This week I've been working on make registration easier.
The old system used to choose a username for you but I've been working on having the modern approach of you being able to choose your own username.
I'm *almost* there now and will make the changes live (early next week) as soon as I'm happy they're all tested and working.

One other thing I've done is to move the log in / log out links from the top right of the screen to onto the main navigation bar. Again this is something that most web sites have now.

One last thing is the ability to register and sign in via SSL - many users now prefer this for added security - so I have installed an SSL certificate on the site and will be going live with this facility early next week.

It's a simple thing really, or so you'd think.

I've slightly changed the way it works so there's now a proper login page rather than the tiny form in the top right corner of the screen.

It's late and I can't sleep, I'm wired.
Have been at the Technology for Marketing and Advertising exhibition at Earls Court 2 today.
Very Web 2.0, very Social Media, very inspiring.
